A beautifully winding road takes you to Traben-Trabach on the Moselle. The steep vineyards with the river meandering through them are breathtakingly beautiful. The cosy villages all have their own character but wherever you end up, you will receive a friendly welcome and delicious food and, of course, wine. You can book a boat trip on the Moselle at several places. It is very nice to go to Germany's oldest city, Trier, that way.
If you head just south from this holiday home, you will come to the Nature Reserve Saar-Hunsrück and you are 19 km from the Idarkopf mountain. It is worth driving to Idar Oberstein. That region is known for its natural beauty and the cutting of precious stones
