Travel Purpose: business

Positive: The owners greeted me in person and were very relaxed and welcoming, explaining everything in detail and offering quick communication throughout my stay. They were also flexible with the check-out time, which I really appreciated. The studio is above their atelier: safe, bright, and really nice and quiet for a city-centre location. I loved the kitchen facilities and the high-quality coffee machine, which provided excellent coffee throughout my stay. The sofa bed was comfortable (the pillows less so), and the pallet stove, though requiring a bit of effort, was a lovely touch, especially when returning to a warm fire. The terrace was a great spot to relax, even though I didn’t use it as much as I’d hoped due to the cold weather.

Negative: For my week long stay I missed some more cleaning facilities (ie a broom, a wiping sponge), some toiletries in the bathroom and maybe a washing machine (even though I noticed a washing centre nearby). Also, a couple more pillows and a mattress cover would have been helpful.

Summary: Would definitely stay again if back in Kiel
