The pretty lakeside city of Friedrichshafen is a 14-minute drive (11 km) from Langenargen and invites you to stroll about its many promenades and visit the Zeppelin museum. You can also get to the city in 8 minutes by train, after a 4-minute walk (270 m) to the station. After a 22-minute train journey or 28 minutes by car (20 km), you can visit the island Lindau with its charming old town centre and narrow streets, and the beautiful town of Bregenz in Austria, a 30-minute drive (32 km) away, is well-known for its many cultural offerings and wonderful scenery. The Lake Constance region offers numerous great hiking and cycling routes through scenic landscapes and along the lakeshores. In winter, you can even go skiing a 25-minute drive (27 km) away, near Bregenz.
