The living room:
You have 195 square meters of living space on two levels with a garden facing the stream. There are 4 parking spaces for your vehicles. Bicycles and motorbikes can be stored in the lockable garage. For the internet connection please use our free WiFi.
Two steps lead you to the ground floor with the main living and lounge area.
There are two living rooms for you with plenty of seating, which can be separated from each other with a large sliding door if necessary. This can be an advantage if part of your family or Group watching TV and another part would rather have a chat
The kitchen and the dining room are both open to each other. Here you can cook, bake, especially eat together, study hiking maps, play board games and do everything else that you do at a large table.
The dining room is accessible from the living room and also from the kitchen. You can also reach the kitchen from the hallway. In the middle there is a kitchen island in which two dishwashers are integrated. The kitchen has a large, spacious fridge (without freezer), an induction hob with an extractor hood. From the kitchen there is a direct exit to the garden.
A bathroom with shower, vanity and toilet and a separate guest toilet are also on the ground floor.
We have set up a children's playroom on this level for our “little guests”.
The stairs lead from the hallway to the upper floor.
Upstairs are the 6 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, each with a shower, sink and toilet.
All double beds have two mattresses. Example: 180 cm wide bed has 2 x 90 cm wide mattresses.
Altenau is very centrally located in the Harz Mountains and is therefore an ideal starting point for many activities. Altenau itself has 7 restaurants, a bakery, a supermarket, a pharmacy, its own brewery, a snack bar, a bank and a post office. The supermarket and the bakery are open every day.

There are three tennis playgrounds right next to the forest swimming pond. They are booked in the "Hirsch" pharmacy in the village (10 minutes walk from the house) 1 hour costs 10, - €. Should it pour a day like from buckets (and not only then), the crystal hot spring "Hot Brocken" with its great swimming pools and saunas is a nice alternative to enjoy your stay, and that is within walking distance. In winter, the rain quickly turns into snow, at 500 meters it happens even more often. Altenau has its own ski and sledge mountain "Auf der Rose". Ski and sledge lifts are available. Great fun for young and old is therefore guaranteed. So pack up the mulled wine, grab the sledge (we have two ready for you) and go sledding, of course on foot .-)

Possibility to rent bed linen and towels. A laundry set consists of sheets, covers for pillows and duvet, and two towels. Of course there are enough blankets and pillows available. Our garden borders on a stream. The property is not fenced to the stream and the street. Children can easily get from the garden to the street and the stream. The stream is mostly harmless in summer. In spring at the

become quite dangerous.
-Our outdoor furniture, the sunroof and the grill are available from mid April to mid October.
- Please leave our house tidy and clean. Our nice domestic help takes care of cleaning the toilets, vacuuming and wiping the floors. Their share for this is 65 euros.
- Please note that a tourist tax of € 2.00 per day and person (over 18 years) has to be paid to the spa administration (children over 6 years) € 1.37. The visitor's tax must be paid in cash to our property managers upon arrival. You will receive the spa cards with various discounts.
