Positive: Beautiful building. Spotless bathroom. Good location. Friendly staff.

Negative: The approach to Emig Mansion was hard to spot. No welcome signs or signs for parking. The public entrance looked unofficial, untidy. Poison ivy was overrunning the steps. Sheets and towels were clean but cheap and skimpy. We were expecting breakfast after reading the rave reviews for the lovely breakfast but were told we had not paid the extra so received just the continental breakfast. This was disappointing but obviously our own fault for not paying more attention to the actual booking. The bathroom was clean but the bedroom floor was not. It would be nice to have information about the house and its history written somewhere for curious guests because the 2 staff members we met were obviously busy and we saw each one only briefly. There was no opportunity for more than a short tour of the rooms and facilities.

Summary: Okay but could have been so much better with just a little care and thought.
