Welcome to our beautiful and cozy "Maisonette Anno 1521". A charming duplex apartment with about 113 m2, suitable for up to 4 people. A perfect mixture of castle atmosphere with all modern amenities for a comfortable and relaxing vacation.

This duplex apartment has one bedroom with a queen-size bed (160x200 cm) and a living room with one large sofa bed. Everything in this apartment is historical from the floor to the staircase dating to the XVI century. Even the way the wall was restored is a recreation of the same style of painting of the XVIII century. Very large windows allow for plenty of light and a clean atmosphere. Its historic, charming internal staircase gives access to the bathroom, living room, and bedroom. You can also use a private garden in front of the apartment. The balcony on the 2nd floor is shared with other guests.

The palace is originally from the 16th century and has been completely restored internally. Outside there is still working to be done by restoration professionals but this is slow labor of love by the owners. The castle has all amenities you would expect to have in any modern construction.

Summary: Tucked in a small town in the county you will find a beautiful and relaxing place to stay that is full of history! We were welcomed to the castle with not only a tour of our apartment but to the rest of the property and gardens as well. Learning about the history of the property and the region was wonderful for my family. Our apartment has been lovingly renovated and was comfortable. The bed and pillows were comfy, and we are fairly picky. The kitchen is beautiful and easy to work in. The views, private garden, and shared garden for bonfires/grilling were wonderful. The bells from the church next door were charming. There was even access to an upper balcony where we could watch a pair of storks take care of their babies in the nest that they build yearly on one of the chimneys! Rafaella was a wonderful host sharing the history with our family and I loved having all of the apartments information airdropped to us, so we always had it on hand. We travel a lot and their information was the most detailed and helpful that we have seen! The owners and caretakers are working to restore this piece of history to bring back its original character. We were delighted to stay here to see this progress and to support their work. It was nice just to walk around the village as well.
