In a tranquil position, with lovely views over Lake Maggiore, close to the start of the Sacro Monte trail and near a pristine stream with an enchanting waterfall, this stunning house makes an idyllic retreat and a great base to explore the surrounding mountains and lakes – a route of attraction for many travellers and researchers
Spread over 3 floors, with a stone staircase running through the heart of the property, the house sleeps 6 people. The décor is a combination of contemporary furnishings in 18th-century surroundings. The airy living room has an elegant wooden floor, a sofa, an armchair, a flatscreen TV and a carved stone fireplace.
Across the landing, the modern kitchen/dining room is equally stylish. The kitchen is well-equipped with an induction hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, toaster, boiler and automatic coffee machine. The dining table seats 8 people.
Outside the front door, guests can relax on the sunny terrace, with lake views, where there is a table and chairs for coffee or drinks al fresco and a swing seat.

The small town of Brissago (10-minute walk), on the western shores of Lake Maggiore, is in the Ticino canton, close to the Italian border. The town has everything guests need for a relaxed holiday. The ferry terminal (a 15-minute walk) allows visitors access to the famous Brissago Islands. With their sub-tropical botanical gardens and restaurants, they make a great day trip.
Brissago Beach, caressed by the waves of Lake Maggiore and spread over the vast area, provides guests with various facilities, like swimming pools, including the swimming pool for children, a slide (75 meters), a cocktail bar and a restaurant. The beach is equipped with deck chairs and umbrellas and has comfortable access for swimming in the lake.
For more adventurous guests, there are many activities in the area including hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing and water sports. Boat tours are available on request.
