This detached and three-storey holiday house rises majestically on a prominent sandstone cliff above the Elbe and is uniquely nestled into the mountainous landscape of the Sächsische Schweiz. The accommodation was built in 1920 and was last renovated in 2014.
The house provides an ample ca. 300m² of living space for a maximum of 23 people. There is a generous kitchen on the ground floor for self-catering, equipped with an oven, fridge with freezer compartment, gas stove, toaster, kettle and coffee machine. You will find a separately located pizza oven. The house has eleven bedrooms, a breakfast room, seminar rooms, a library, common rooms, an office room and four bathrooms. You need to bring your own hairdryer if required. There is a fitness area with a training bench and dumbbells, as well as a Finnish sauna, an infrared sauna and a washing machine for use free of charge. There is a Viennese grand piano in the seminar room. The whole house has heating and free Wi-Fi.
The 3000m² outdoor area includes a fully enclosed garden, a terrace, a veranda and two balconies with tables and chairs. The ca. 35-hectare forest belongs to the Elbhangweg and Aschersteig, part of the Malerweg. You can use a private car parking area with ten outdoor spaces. Pets are allowed on request.

Schöna is five kilometres upriver from Bad Schandau. The 385-metre-high Zirkelstein, the smallest table mountain in the Sächsische Schweiz, affords a wonderful view in fine weather far into the Böhmische Schweiz. It is 50 minutes by S-Bahn into the city of Dresden. The S-Bahn train station Schmilka-Hirschmühle is only 500 metres away. There is an (organic) bakery on the other side of the Elbe, accessible by boat. There are many shops and markets in Bad Schandau.
