Our thatched cottage is part of a lovingly renovated former farm that has been family-owned for more than 500 years. In a fantastic location you can enjoy the peace and beauty of the village and the surrounding area. We live on the farm with our ten and six year old children, a family with two small children and a family with two 10 year old boys, all three parties in the main house.
The Kate stands alone in a quiet second row. Next door, a wooden hut is used temporarily as a hunting hut by the "grandfather of the farm". There is plenty of room to spread out in the yard to spend a romantic evening around the campfire or to let your own children play.
Our children like to share their playground with swings, slide, trampoline and sandpit after a short consultation.
The thatched cottage has 3 bedrooms, 2 with double beds and one with bunk beds. 1 bedroom is on the 1st Floor. The stairs are equipped at the top and bottom with a staircase protection blind. Most sockets have a child lock.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, stove, oven and a large fridge / freezer. The heart of the Kate is the so-called living hall with a clay basic stove, which is fired with wood and provides cozy warmth. If you don't feel like heating with wood, you don't have to freeze. Of course, every room has appropriate radiators. The entire courtyard is automatically supplied with heat via a woodchip heater.
1 bathroom with shower and a separate bathroom with sink and toilet are on the ground floor.
The accommodation is fully available to our guests for their stay. There is patio furniture on the two adjacent terraces, there is a grill in the tool shed. The playground and the play equipment of our children can be shared after a short consultation. If something is missing or there is a special interest in something, we can almost always be reached.
For a special bathing experience, we would like to recommend our own small idyllic forest lake, which the residents of Palingen also use as a summer lake. We are happy to reveal the way through the forest.
We of course offer our guests any discretion they want on the farm. Nevertheless, we are present on site and can react quickly to your needs in order to accompany your vacation as pleasantly as possible. Of course we can always be reached by mobile phone and email. Just talk to us.
