Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Great location, great view with nice outdoor seating area. Perfect shower and floorheating throughout the appartement. Location perfect to explore the western Harz and to cover the first half of the Harzer Hexen Stieg, using local busses to get to starting and endpoints (free when using the tourist tax ticket you pay for) . Shops nearby as well as a big pond to walk around or swim in and watch wildlife ( including harmless snake) . Smart tv . Kitchen with everything you probably need. New washing machine and dryer, dishwasher. Lovely hosts, very friendly and accomodating. Easy parking at the door.

Negative: Only some minor things. Couch is a bit hard. Beds a bit more bouncy than what we like. A mirror in the hallway would be handy, the one in the bathroom foggs up. Lighting is limited, a bit dark inside overall.

Summary: Great view, comfy home away from home and base for hiking trips
